Club Membership
Membership shall be open to any person willing to contribute to the interests and goals of the Club and shall not be denied to any person due to age, race, religion, sex, disability, or national origin. All members agree to abide by the Club Bylaws.
The Membership of the Club is divided into the following types:
- Competitive Members (Active Players)
- General Members
COMPETITIVE MEMBERS (ACTIVE PLAYERS)
In addition to Membership Dues being paid to the Pittsburgh Forge Rugby Club, all active players must also CIPP register with USA Rugby as soon as possible after joining the Club, but prior to participating in any competition.
The Forge is pleased to announce a Dues Discount for all players who are active, retired, or veteran members of the US Armed Forces. Furthermore, the club has extended the discount to all those who serve our communities as police officers, firefighters, or EMS.
GENERAL MEMBERS (Supporters, Alumni, Fans)
We welcome your interest in membership of the club. Each membership category conveys voting rights during Club meetings in addition to the benefits listed below. In general, these memberships are deemed to be vehicles to support the club, and any membership fee incremental to the value of the benefits received is considered to be a donation. As such your membership contribution will generate a donation receipt that can be used to reduce your tax obligations. Benefits at each level have been designed to maximize the value of the donation.
Any persons wishing to be members of the Club, but do not wish to actively play are not required to CIPP register with USA Rugby and therefore are unable to participate in any competition. At any point, if a General Club Member wishes to participate in competition, they must CIPP register for the Club and pay the difference in Membership Dues, if necessary.
